Broccoli Salads / Brokoli Salataları

Our first broccoli salad consists of fresh red pepper(1), carrot (1), broccoli (1lbs), corn kernels 1/2 cup, garlic (2 cloves), salt, olive oil, lemon juice. Trim off the large leaves from the broccoli stem. Remove the tough stalk at the end and wash broccoli head thoroughly. Cut the head into florets and the stem into bite-size pieces. Place in a medium pot with hot boiling water. Add julienne cut carrot. Boil for 5-10 minutes and drain well. Place in a large bowl. Add julienne sliced red pepper. Stir corn in too. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, (lemon juice, olive oil, salt and minced garlic) stirring well. Add to broccoli mixture and toss gently.
P.S: I used canned corn. But if you want to use raw, then you’ll need to cook it before adding to salad.

Brokoli güzellemelerimizden ilki yakışacağını düşündüğüm havuç, kırmızı biber, mısır gibi sebzeler ve sosdan müteşekkil. Havuç jülyen doğranır brokoli ile hafif haşlanır. Haşlama işleminin süresi sebzenizi nasıl yemek istediğinize bağlı, yani göreceli. Ben brokoliler canlı yeşil rengini kaybetmesin istediğim için 5 dk haşladım ama genel manada sanırım 10 dk yeterli olacaktır.
Brokoli ve havuç süzülüp karıştırma kabına alınır. Jülyen doğranan taze kırmızı biber, mısır ve sosu eklenip harmanlanır. Sosu oldukça basit… limon, zeytinyağ, dövülmüş 2 diş sarımsak, tuz.

Second one is really easy and one of the most famous version of broccoli recipes in Turkish cuisine. All you need to do is to mix already cooked broccoli florets with lemon juice, olive oil, salt and minced garlic. It is generally served with kisir or potato salad as a side dish.

and last but not least, broccoli (boiled) with Turkish style garlic flavored yogurt sauce…here are the ingredients…one head of broccoli, cut into florets and cooked, yogurt, 2 cloves garlic, minced, and salt…Cook and drain broccoli florets. Place broccoli on a platter. In a small bowl, whisk plain yogurt, salt, and minced garlic. Pour over broccoli. Bon Apetit!

…………………..

Sonuncusu ise Türk usulü sarımsak yoğurtlu brokoli…Brokoli, sarımsak, yoğurt ve tuz…Burdan çıkarılacak sonuç sarımsağın brokoliye çok yakıştığı gerçeğidir:)

    >The broccoli on Fethiye market always looks so nice but I don't like it when it;s just been boiled. It's so good for you and I've been dying to buy some for ages so I'm definitely going to try these dishes! Thanks. 🙂
