Antep Fıstıklı Güllaç/ Gullac With Pistachios

>

Yalnızca malzemelerini azaltarak ve bu kez fıstıklı hazırladığım güllacın asıl tarifine burdan ulaşabilirsiniz. 20cm çapında bir borcam kullandığım için malzemeler şöyle oldu

Malzemeler

7 güllaç yaprağı
1 kupa şeker
4 kupa süt
gülsuyu
arasına 3/4 kupa fıstık
üzeri için meyve ve fıstık.

Güllaç yapraklarını kırarak yerleştirmem gerektiği için 7 adet yaprak yetti. Bundan sonraki güllaç denemem “fındıklı sarma güllaç” olacak.

Very light dessert for Ramadan. If you see this decadent dessert for the first time and wanna learn about what it is, you’ll reach the information here in recipe of first Gullac I made. You can use the same recipe directions for this one as well.

But this time I omit walnuts and instead I used pistachios. One of the other changes I made is using

6-7 leaves of Gullac
4 cups whole milk
and 1 cup of sugar
3/4 cup ground pistachio

for topping

fruit (peach)
finely ground pistachio

You should try it!

    >What is gullac? What would a good substitute be?It looks lovely.

  3. >Thanks CJ, But I don't think there is a substitute for gullac leaves. Gullac is a Turkish dessert made with milk, pomegranate and a special kind of pastry. Güllaç dough is prepared with corn starch and wheat flour. It contains walnuts between the layers that are put in mixture of milk and sugar .It is consumed especially during the holy month of Ramadan since it is a light dessert. But, even in Turkey, it is not prepared for the rest of the year. I hope I helped a little to you to understand what it is. Thanks for visiting.
