Tavuklu nohutlu Fas salatası

2 bardak haşlanmış nohut

300 g haşlanmış tavuk göğsü

1 kırmızı biber taze yada közlenmiş

4 dal yeşil soğan

½ demet maydanoz

Zeytinyağ

Tuz

Toz biber

Karabiber

Kimyon

1 limon suyu

Taze soğan, maydanoz ve kırmızı biberi doğrayıp karıştırma kabına alın. İyice haşlanmış nohutları ve didiklenmiş tavuk göğsünü ekleyin. Yağ, limon suyu ve baharatları da ilave edip karıştırın. Servis tabağına alıp içi açılmış pita ekmeklerle ve taze yoğurtla ikram edin.

Morrocan chicken and chickpea salad

İngredients (6 servings)

2 cans (16 oz each) garbanzo beans rinsed and well drained

1 lb chicken breast, cut in1- inch cubes

1 fresh red bell pepper or roasted red pepper, diced

½ bunch fresh parsley, chopped

4 green onions, thinly sliced

4 tbsp olive oil

1 lemon juice

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp paprika or chili powder

Salt

Black pepper

Pita pockets

Plain yogurt

Preparation

Combine cumin and chili powder in a plastic bag. Add chicken and shake to coat. Over medium heat, heat up 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet. Add chicken; cook 5 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink, stirring frequently.

Take off heat. Set aside to cool. Combine remaining ingredients except pita pockets, mixing well. Stir in chicken. You can make it even easier just like I did.

Combine garbanzo beans, already cooked and shredded chicken, diced red bell pepper and the spices like salt, pepper, paprika, cumin in a medium mixing bowl.

Add chopped parsley and green onions. Stir oil, and lemon juice in. Mix them well with a spoon.

Cut top off pita breads to open. Divide chicken mixture among the pitas; top with yogurt.
