Sour and Spicy Turkish Ezme Salad
This salad goes great with barbeque and it has been people’s favorite and commonly prepared for grill togetherness. Most importantly, its origin is my hometown “Adana”.
4 tomatoes peeled and petite diced
1 big onion finely chopped
½ bunch parsley finely chopped
1 cucumber petite diced
1 tbsp pomegranate sauce
1 tsp sumac
1 tsp salt
½ tsp red crushed pepper
2-3 tbsp olive oil
1/2 lemon juice
1. Put all vegetables in a medium mixing bowl
2. Pour pomegranate sauce in a jar, add lemon juice, salt, pepper, sumac, olive oil and put the lid on it and shake well.
3. Drizzle the pomegranate mixture over salad and toss them well.
Lettuce Salad
1 romaine hearts lettuce chopped
2 tomatoes diced
1 cucumber diced
2 carrots shredded
1 Lemon juice
2 tbsp Olive oil
Place all veggies in a platter and prepare the vinaigrette by mixing lemon juice, olive oil, and salt. Drizzle over the salad and toss them evenly.
